Open Question: What is expected of a Mormon person after marriage? ?

If someone is a Mormon but disconnected from the church, can they have a Mormon significant other to have a family with and what is expected of the person? The person is a female and was baptized before and is wanting to meet some other Mormon people? This person also has moved and does not know of any Mormon churches or ways to meet any Mormon people where they are ? I mean do they go to church all the time?
